JOB SUMMARY:



To provide analytical support and guidance to our foodservice, engineering and store operations teams.  This will be accomplished by developing and maintaining insightful planning, performance reporting and executive summary tools that will assist in driving actionable performance improvements.  Strong working relationships within the organization will be required to assist Director with strategic thinking, performance and process improvement initiatives and general innovation in all areas of our business.





RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:



 



  • Develop and prepare monthly retail performance reporting / analysis



  • Lead monthly retail financial reviews and provide strategic guidance with category team



  • Ad hoc reporting as needed to support category team



  • Strategic planning, analysis and execution support



  • Lead monthly performance reviews with management teams



  • Analytics around our repairs and maintenance expenses



  • Assist in driving innovation around structure, process and underlying business strategies



  • Creation of tools to support meaningful business reviews with key vendors



  • Evaluation and support of general systems used to facilitate repairs and maintenance



  • Develop and lead monthly review protocols to review and improve expense trends





  • Assist Director in evaluating and implementing process improvement opportunities in our stores



  • Miscellaneous expense management support for our stores



  • Projects as assigned, resource and partner of Director and Regional Directors of Operations



Job Requirements



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:



  • Proven and advanced analytical skills



  • Ability to analyze sales, margins, results and inventory data



  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects in effective, efficient and timely manner



  • Self-motivated individual with a passion for driving new initiatives, creating new ideas and opportunities



  • Ability to work in fast paced, challenging and ever changing retail environment



  • Ability to work well with team members, store operations and internal departments



  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills



  • Professional personality with the ability to influence others



  • Dynamic presentation skills







EDUCATION/TRAINING PREFERRED:



  • 4 year degree in business, Accounting/Finance or related field; post-graduate degree preferred



    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • 2 - 4 years or more experience with analysis, initiating change, pursuing innovation and strategic initiatives including operations and support departments



  • Experience working with senior level management



  • Retail analytical experience strongly preferred



  • Advanced data modeling, report development, data mining and interpretation



  • Advanced Excel, Access, Essbase experience strongly preferred



  • Proven ability to turn data into actionable performance improvements



  • Annual planning experience
